Yayoi Kusama's mushroom painting

This painting is drawn by Yayoi Kusama and the painting is very colourful using different kinds of colours and shapes. The background are mostly in dark pink and it gives people the feeling of love, excitement and life. It makes the mushrooms alive with the different shapes the artist used . It gives people the feeling that there are living cells in the mushrooms which make it alive and catch peoples' attention. The different colours used make the painting more interesting and attractive and also the shapes and sizes did a great job as well. Shapes like ovals and circles are representative of dots which is easily recognisable as organisation and efficiency. Some shapes used are uneven and have curves which tends to be pleasing and comforting for illustration and adds up interests of people. The artist build up dots so they became lines which is a basic design element with distinct characteristics and functions like a focused attention or a focal point. The dots have different size and different tension but they still retain their qualities . In conclusion, this painting indeed catch peoples' attention easily from it's colours ,shapes and sizes. The artist used his imagination and play around shapes and sizes , leading to such great art piece.
